I’m about 75% complete with my entry for The Sketchbook Project 2015…working hard to meet the new deadline of March 31.
Yeah, it’s only six months late—my caricature for a friend and climbing buddy. Daron bagged the last of Colorado’s 54 14ers on his 30th Birthday!

Just thought I would bring some clarity on this #SuperBowl Sunday.The Wellington pub located in Strand London, just across the north end of Waterloo Bridge. I saw this wonderful bit of architecture on my trip last April, but didn’t have time to capture it in my travel sketchbook. I finally made the time this evening to work up this loose sketch. A departure from my “normal” art, the exercise was cathartic, and a much needed retreat this week.
Excited! My sketchbook arrived and I’m ready to complete the challenge. Deadline for entries is the January 15, 2015!

No Triple Crown today. After winning both the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes, California Chrome was favord to become the first Triple Crown winner since 1978. However, “America’s Horse” and jockey Victor Espinoza came up short in the Belmont Stakes, snapping a winning streak of six races. (Number and saddle cloth from the May 3, 2014, Kentucky Derby win)
