The Wellington

December 16, 2014 — 1 Comment

The Wellington pub located in Strand London, just across the north end of Waterloo Bridge. I saw this wonderful bit of architecture on my trip last April, but didn’t have time to capture it in my travel sketchbook. I finally made the time this evening to work up this loose sketch. A departure from my “normal” art, the exercise was cathartic, and a much needed retreat this week.

Football: In Season

SoccerSketch_smlYes, the SuperBowl is over, but it is still football season. (Yes, real football) In fact, the English Premier League season (began in August) does not end until May. I love it . . . Can’t get enough of “The Beautiful Game.” Thinking back on my playing days inspired this #DailySketch

GQKidz-charactersI am excited to be doing some illustration and design work for a friend who runs an Online ministry. I’m currently developing eight characters for his kids Web site, which will feature a monthly comic. Here’s a sneak peak of a few characters and the initial layout for the first issue . .

I love living in Colorado Springs at the base of the Rocky Mountains. And yes, the mountains are calling . . . It’s only January and I’m already dreaming about the high-altitude adventures that await me this summer!
