Pretty excited to have my “Winged Monkeys” featured along side the works of fellow CO Springs creative pals—Luke Flowers, Josh Lewis, Ben Lew, Mike Heath & Isaac Watkins—in our local Barnes & Noble cafe gallery show, “Literary Monsters, Creatures & Beasts . . . OH MY!”
It’s been a lot of fun to be part of the inaugural “Books and Music” summer series event at SwitchBack Coffee Roasters. I was invited to design the poster and participate in the event. Today I got to read the two children’s books I illustrated to a group of local kids, and leave behind some coloring pages.
Latest project: Designed and illustrated a promotional poster for the local “Books & Music” event here in Colorado Springs. Geared towards PreK to Elementary kids and their families, the 1-hour program includes dramatic reading of children’s books, followed by a local musician playing kid-friendly songs. The event is presented by SwitchBack Coffee Roasters and Pikes Peak Library District’s mobile library.

The Wellington pub located in Strand London, just across the north end of Waterloo Bridge. I saw this wonderful bit of architecture on my trip last April, but didn’t have time to capture it in my travel sketchbook. I finally made the time this evening to work up this loose sketch. A departure from my “normal” art, the exercise was cathartic, and a much needed retreat this week.
